Week 7 Predictions: Midterm Matchups

I’ve yet to have a bad week, but the ‘just okay weeks have started to rack up. Week 6 was one of those.

This week: 3-5 (37.5%)
Last week:
5-3 (62.5%)
Overall: 61-20 (75.3%)

It’s all SEC again. There are some blowouts coming. There are some tough ones. It’s time to get back to a B-average buy midterm time. If you’re looking for more out of conference predictions, check with The Emporium.

10/14

Arkansas at Alabama – Oh, it’s Breakfast with Bama. My how the mighty have fallen. No really, have you seen how perennial media darling Arkansas and the funny old man coach are 2-4? Amazing. It will be slow because Alabama fans don’t wake up before noon, but it’ll end up being a no-doubter.

Alabama 41, Arkansas 10

Alabama 24, Arkansas 21 – SUCCESS!

Georgia at Vanderbilt – This is one of those games where Mark Richt and early Kirby Smart would’ve been down 3 at halftime to the Dores. This isn’t one of those times.

Georgia 54, Vanderbilt 7

Georgia 37, Vanderbilt 20 – SUCCESS!

Florida at South Carolina – The Spurrier Bowl. It’s not called that, but it’s all I think about even to this day. Florida is mediocre at best. South Carolina is the same, but their fans get a little more lively given they aren’t used to any success whatsoever. That’ll be enough to win.

South Carolina 23, Florida 17

Florida 41, South Carolina 39 – FAILURE

Texas A&M at Tennessee – The Aggies have looked more than decent in a few games this season, and then lost sadly in two others. Tennessee has been alright, and but also lost to Florida. Tennessee’s quarterback isn’t very accurate. Texas A&M’s defense is accurate at finding the quarterback. Are they good enough to do it on the road? Probably.

Texas A&M 28, Tennessee 21

Tennessee 20, Texas A&M 13 – FAILURE

Missouri at Kentucky – Aww, both of these teams lost their undefeated seasons last week. They were so founded and tough, with those close wins over Middle Tennessee State and Eastern Kentucky. The Wildcats were destroyed by Georgia last week. Missouri was outscored by LSU last week. Kentucky won’t be able to keep Missouri under 30.

Missouri 34, Kentucky 24

Missouri 38, Kentucky 21 – SUCCESS!

Auburn at LSU – Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: it’s a Baton Rouge win streak.

Auburn 24, LSU 21

LSU 48, Auburn 18 – FAILURE

Other Games of Note

Oregon at Washington – When Bo left for Oregon after beating Oregon and Gus’s first game at UCF was against Boise State where Auburn hired their next coach from, I knew we were living in a simulation. The quarterback matchup of Bo Nix and Penix just solidifies it. Both teams are good. Bo Nix is better than Penix. That’s all that will matter.

Oregon 42, Washington 31

Washington 36, Oregon 33 – FAILURE

Miami at North Carolina – The Hurricanes could be undefeated if Cristobal would bend the knee. North Carolina is undefeated. I just looked up their schedule and realized why. Miami will bounce back with a close win at the buzzer.

Miami 21, North Carolina 20

Miami 41, North Carolina 31 – FAILURE
