My overall percentage is slowly going down, but I blame you South Carolina and Florida. Do your job! This week’s games seem a little more obvious, so maybe I’ll fare a little better.
This Week: 5-2
Last Week: 4-3
Overall: 51-19 (72.9%)
10/23
Ole Miss at Arkansas – Arkansas is mad. Ole Miss is bad. Hogs win big.
Arkansas 41, Ole Miss 20
Arkansas 38, Ole Miss 24 – SUCCESS!
Alabama at Tennessee – Tennessee owes Alabama. Last year, they were one fat roll away from kicking the game-winner to end the Tide’s perfect season. This year, Alabama is struggling on offense, but Tennessee is struggling everywhere. The home crowd and the rivalry will keep it close for a while, but Alabama pulls out a ho-hum win.
Alabama 21, Tennessee 10
Alabama 41, Tennessee 10 – SUCCESS!
UAB at Mississippi State – Remember when this game would have been close? Mississippi State looks pretty good right now, and UAB is, well, UAB.
Mississippi State 34, UAB 7
Mississippi State 29, UAB 24 – SUCCESS!
South Carolina at Vanderbilt – Here Vandy, you take it. The East, that is. South Carolina had their chance to pull away, but they had to go all typical-Gamecocks on us and lose to Kentucky. Vandy has done nothing more than just be Vandy, yet they are still in the hunt. South Carolina will still be too much, though.
Wait…dare I go South Carolina<Kentucky<Ole Miss<Vanderbilt? Nah. Cocks win.
South Carolina 27, Vanderbilt 13
South Carolina 21, Vanderbilt 7 – SUCCESS!
Georgia at Kentucky – Georgia is starting to hit their stride right when they need it, or have they? They just beat Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Let’s not call them world-beaters just yet. Kentucky is actually pretty decent and should be as pumped as ever. ‘Cats in another “upset”.
Kentucky 34, Georgia 31
Georgia 44, Kentucky 31 – FAILURE
Other Games of Note
UCLA at Oregon (Thurs.) – I know the only thing that matters right now is the Auburn-LSU game, but it wouldn’t hurt to throw on some powder blue and pull for the Bruins tonight.
Oregon is too fast.
Oregon 48, UCLA 27
Oregon 60, UCLA 13 – SUCCESS!
Oklahoma at Missouri – Most of the Auburn family was complaining that ESPN Gameday was going to this game over coming to Auburn-LSU. We all know that the Tiger Bowl is going to be 1000 times better, and it made more sense to come to Auburn, but let’s look at it this way: last week the visiting team at the Gameday school was Ohio State, and they lost. This week the visiting team at the Gameday school is Oklahoma. Auburn needs Oklahoma to lose, or at least would like for them to. Plus, the last time Gameday came to Auburn-LSU, the Purple Tigers won. Let’s just worry about the game, and not get caught up in if a TV show is at our school for the second time in a month.
I want to pick Missouri just as much as I wanted to pick UCLA, but I think we’ll have to wait another week for these two “juggernauts” to fall.
Oklahoma 27, Missouri 20
Missouri 36, Oklahoma 27 – FAILURE
Twit-Fam Prediction
LSU at Auburn – Big turnout by the fam this week. I like it. Here’s the average of what you predicted:
Auburn 34, LSU 21
Auburn 24, LSU 17 – SUCCESS!
