Hunter L. Johnson (@BurnerLJohnson) is what I would be if I was an Alabama fan, liked cats, didn’t accept reality, and was a whole lot dumber. But really, he’s a good Alabama troll that has collected a few minions along the way, and just knows how to play the game. This is his 7th time on the Blogle, so I’m not sure if that makes him a regular. But I am sure he’s an idiot.
1. What is an Alabama fan’s first thought of Auburn football right now?
It’s a helluva lot different than I felt a few weeks ago. In all honesty, I don’t think y’all are a bad team. Y’all have a pretty good success rate on both sides of the ball but just haven’t been good in the red zone. Could easily be an 8 or 9 win team.
2. What is an Alabama fan’s first thought of Alabama football right now?
Disappointment. I still think DeBoer is the dude, but to say I am not disappointed with three losses and likely not making the playoff would be a lie.
3. Will Jalen Milroe be at Alabama next season? Do you want him at Alabama next season?
I do not think so. And I think that it would probably be best if he went professional. I just don’t think that he is a great fit for this offense. Not a great zone read RPO guy, which is what this offense has to have.
4. How many years are you giving Kalen DeBoer?
I don’t really have a number on it. I think he’s a great coach and is going to be successful here.
5. Which positional matchup are you most interested in watching this weekend?
Jarquez Hunter against our defensive front. I am very concerned about it.
6. Who are two Tiders that aren’t big names that Auburn fans should look out for?
Bray Hubbard and Qua Russaw.
7. Are there any guys on the current Auburn roster that scare you and why?
Like I said, definitely Jarquez Hunter. Also, I would have to say Peyton Thorne. With all the crap we have talked about him over the last couple of years, him coming out and balling would not be fun.
8. What’s your prediction/analysis of the game?
I think it will be a close first half. Auburn will probably have the lead at some point. However, I think Alabama wins this one in the last 1/3 of the game and wins something like 31-17.
9. Where will Auburn and Alabama end up this season?
Dammit I haven’t even thought about this yet. We will probably end up in The Citrus Bowl, but it would be pretty sick if a couple of things fell our way and we ended up backdooring into the playoff. Folks would be so mad. Auburn will end up with a losing record in Hugh Freeze’s 2nd year. At least he’s a great guy though!
10. Who is your favorite current Auburn basketballer and why?
This is a tougher one now that Carter Sobera and Jaylin Williams are no longer on the roster. I really like Tahaad Pettiford’s game so I would probably go with him. It’s good that y’all made an upgrade at point guard and Aden Holloway was also able to upgrade programs so everyone should be happy about it.
