Week 10 Predictions: Division Day

After a great Week 8, I did not back it up with a great Week 9. It was tough one. Get off me.

Last week: 3-4 (42.9%)
This week: 4-5 (44.4%)
Overall: 69-36 (65.7%)

Week 10 has a few big matchups by the names, but I think we’re going to be reminded where some of these teams actually fall in the real pecking order. Interesting enough, all the SEC matchups are within their division.

11/5

Kentucky at Missouri – The Wildcats have been overhyped all season, but have finally been brought down to Earth with losses to South Carolina and Tennessee. Missouri was called the worst team in the SEC to make Auburn’s win over them look bad. Missouri beat ranked South Carolina last week. This will be close, but it’s too early for Missouri to win a home game.

Kentucky 31, Missouri 21

Kentucky 21, Missouri 17 – SUCCESS!

Florida at Texas A&M – Two floundering teams. The Aggies have lost four in a row, albeit most of them within one score. Florida has lost two in a row, both they should’ve lost. Can Jimbo get back on the right track? What do I mean on the right track? No, they can’t.

Florida 27, Texas A&M 20

Florida 41, Texas A&M 24 – SUCCESS!

Tennessee at Georgia – This is the hottest ticket of the year! Yeah, that’s what happens when you suck for 20 years. Georgia is nowhere near as good as they were last year. Tennessee is only undefeated because Alabama missed a field goal. I could see it going both ways, but the home team will win.

Georgia 38, Tennessee 34

Georgia 27, Tennessee 13 – SUCCESS!

Liberty at Arkansas – Don’t hurt yourself, Hawgs.

Arkansas 42, Liberty 10

Liberty 21, Arkansas 19 – FAILURE

Alabama at LSU – The Playoff Committee put LSU at #10? Could their intentions be more obvious? The SEC now has two top 10 matchups this week, and maybe 2 of the 4 teams are top 10. The other two might be in this game.

I have no idea. Alabama is better, but LSU isn’t the worst team of all time and is in Baton Rouge at night. The off-week probably got Alabama right, though.

Alabama 35, LSU 10

LSU 32, Alabama 31 – FAILURE

South Carolina at Vanderbilt – The Gamecocks were knocked off their lofty pedestal last week by Missouri. Vanderbilt doesn’t know what the pedestal looks like.

South Carolina 27, Vanderbilt 17

South Carolina 38, Vanderbilt 27 – SUCCESS!

Auburn at Mississippi State – Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: Cadillac goes crazy.

Auburn 38, Mississippi State 35

Mississippi State 39, Auburn 33 – FAILURE

Other Games of Note

Texas at Kansas State – Texas is ranked? How did Kansas State destroy Oklahoma State by 48 points? I don’t know, but they’ll do it to the Longhorns, too.

Kansas State 42, Texas 13

Texas 34, Kansas State 27 – FAILURE

Clemson at Notre Dame – Clemson has done nothing but beat a terrible schedule to stay undefeated and take a Top 5 spot. Notre Dame beat a ranked Syracuse last week but has generally not been very good, with some bad losses, and nothing wins. Both are still overrated.

Clemson 34, Notre Dame 21

Notre Dame 35, Clemson 14 – FAILURE

Now that you know who will win, head on over to the 2022 War Blogle Pick ’em and get your picks in. There will be weekly prizes and an overall winner at the end of the season. It’s easy. Do it.
