The Entire Episode of the Bo Jackson SportsCentury

Last Saturday, following the Heisman ceremony, most of the entire world settled in for the next hour and a half to watch ESPN’s 30 for 30: You Don’t Know Bo. It ended up being the highest rated ESPN documentary of all time.

But did you know you there was a previous Bo-themed documentary done by ESPN back in the year 2000? Yep. ESPN Classic used to have a series called SportsCentury that was somewhat an early version of 30 for 30. Many of the same people from Bo’s past were interviewed in both shows. You may notice more or less facial hair on some of the familiar faces, and you may notice some of the same footage being used. If you watch in it’s entirety, you’ll no doubt get a good look at a slightly younger P-Marsh as well. Hey look, there he is down there.

While SportsCentury is about an hour shorter, the theme throughout both is the same: Bo was superhuman, but he got hurt so we’ll always wonder what might have been.
