Week 9 helped. We moved the average up. It’s all we can do at this point. Get the average up.
Last Week: 7-2 (77.8%)
This Week: 0-0 (0.0%)
Overall: 70-22 (76.1%)
It’s another all-SEC week and four teams are off. Only having to pick six games feels like the old days.
11/1
Vanderbilt at Texas – The Longhorns have limped along and barely beaten not great teams. Vandy is due a beatdown. Maybe, hopefully Texas can do it?
Texas 31, Vanderbilt 17
Georgia at Florida – I feel like if TV/media didn’t exist, not one person outside of Georgia and Florida would care about this game. Even with TV/media, I don’t.
Georgia 34, Florida 10
Mississippi State at Arkansas – It’s the Bottom Bowl. Gotta be a real sicko to watch this one, amirite?! Arkansas isn’t terrible. I guess Mississippi State isn’t either. They’ve both been close to beating really good teams and never finish. Gotta feel like the Maroons will be too down from last week to go on the road and win.
Arkansas 41, Mississippi State 28
South Carolina at Ole Miss – What if Lane Kiffin went to South Carolina after Beamer was fired? Nobody is asking that, but might as well link his name with another school.
Ole Miss 38, South Carolina 21
Oklahoma at Tennessee – This feels like an Outback Bowl or something. The Sooners have fallen off (or never were good) and Tennessee is a forgotten team. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen them play in 2 months. Home team wins, though.
Tennessee 28, Oklahoma 21
Kentucky at Auburn– Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: Kentucky fans gave up football for basketball and then their basketball team lost to Georgetown.
Other Games of Note
Penn State at Ohio State – Ohio State can’t help how bad the teams on their schedule end up being, but we also don’t have to say they are the greatest team in the nation because they got in the playoffs last year, won it, and then don’t have to play a competitive team until this year’s playoffs. This one will be closer than the experts think.
Ohio State 24, Penn State 21
Cincinnati at Utah – This is the only ranked matchup that doesn’t include SEC teams this week. Typically, there are none. Seriously, I’m not a rah-rah SEC guy, but there rarely any good games outside the SEC anymore. It’s sad really. I have no clue in this one, so home team wins.
Utah 17, Cincinnati 14
Now that you know who will win, head on over to the 2025 War Blogle Pick ’em and get your picks in. There will be weekly prizes and an overall winner at the end of the season. It’s easy. Do it.
