Top 10 NBA Players Right Now

When it comes to discussing basketball, one of the most common subjects is arguing who the best NBA player is. Fans often bet on their favorite players as the best NBA players on online casinos like PlayAmo

Young talents like Jayson Tatum are beginning to challenge some of the league’s most recognizable names, like LeBron James. Regardless, these are the top NBA players of the current season:

Giannis Antetokounmpo

In 2021, Antetokounmpo climbed to the pinnacle of his career in the NBA by capturing both the title and the Finals MVP award. Unfortunately,  Khris Middleton’s knee injury before the start of the 2022 playoffs prevented him from repeating this feat with Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo has shown everyone that he is the best player in the NBA at the moment. He did so by producing averages of 33.9 points, 7.1 assists, and 14.7 rebounds over the course of a seven-game matchup against the Celtics.

Kelvin Durant

When James Harden was out for most of the 2021 season, Durant had a legitimate claim to becoming the best player in the NBA. There is little doubt that Antetokounmpo has surpassed him.

The Nets were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs after a rough regular season in which Kevin Durant was out with an injury. With his new squad, Durant may be able to restore his position as the best player in the NBA.

Stephen Curry

Despite what many people expected, Curry can still be the greatest player on a championship team. After destroying the top defense in basketball over the course of six consecutive games, he was awarded the MVP award in the Finals. He hasn’t stopped terrifying opposition defenders, and it’s difficult to predict when he will slow down.

Nikola Jokic

In 2021-22, Jokic stepped up his game to earn the MVP title for the second time in a row.  Jokic’s MVP hype may fade as Denver’s health improves. However, he still has a chance to rise in this ranking if he leads the Nuggets to a championship.

Joel Embiid

In the last two seasons, Embiid was a strong contender for MVP, but others argue that he didn’t deserve it. There is no disputing the fact that Nikola Jokic is the better player.

Are there any realistic chances of him winning the MVP in 2022-23? Will Embiid be able to lead the Philadelphia 76ers through the second round of the playoffs? Any way you look at it, Embiid is an elite-level basketball player.

Jayson Tayum

In 2022, Tatum led the Celtics to their first Finals appearance in 12 years, guiding them to the championship game. Tatum must return to the Finals and maybe win a title to rise to the top of this list.

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic and the Mavericks defeated the top-seeded Suns to advance to the Western Conference Finals. This victory came after Luka Doncic, and the Mavericks lost to Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers in the previous two seasons. Having a player like Doncic on your team gives you a chance to win any game, regardless of the opposition.

LeBron James

LeBron James has had a rough couple of years since winning the NBA title. Seeing him this low on an NBA player list makes it strange. Nonetheless, James hasn’t lost his edge as a formidable opponent.

Kawhi Leonard

When Leonard is fit, he has the potential to be one of the five best players in the world. Leonard will take some time to climb back up after he missed the Clippers’ championship runs in both 2021 and 2022 due to injuries.

Ja Morant

Ja Morant is one of basketball’s finest new talents who emerged in 2021-22.  Thanks to his leadership, Memphis finished second in the NBA season with their second-best record in the league. He was awarded the Most Improved Player award.
