Week 11 Predictions: This Week is Hard

Week 10 got me a passing grade. It wasn’t perfect like the week before, but it’ll do. They say D’s get degrees. What do C’s get you? A job, I guess. Take that how you want.

This week: 8-1 (88.8%)
Last week: 7-3 (70.0%)
Overall: 88-27 (76.5%)

This could be one of the tougher week of picks I’ve ever seen. There are ranked matchups of teams that probably aren’t that great. There are matchups of mediocre. Can this week not count?

11/11

Alabama at Kentucky – Did you know that Bear Bryant coached at both of these schools? Do you care? Yeah, me either. The Wildcats aren’t good, but it’ll be close for 22 minutes.

Alabama 38, Kentucky 14

Alabama 49, Kentucky 21 – SUCCESS!

Vanderbilt at South Carolina – Hoo boy. Well, Vanderbilt didn’t look like the worst team in the world against Auburn last week and South Carolina was very close to losing to Jacksonville State. I really have no clue. It feels like South Carolina will win so I guess we’ll go with that.

South Carolina 27, Vanderbilt 17

South Carolina 47, Vanderbilt 6 – SUCCESS!

Tennessee at Missouri – Both of these teams are 7-2 and ranked #13 and #14 respectively. Do we want to live in a world where either of those things are true? I don’t. Missouri has shown a heartbeat, but I think a ton of that is due to some confidence and a good record from a terrible schedule. Tennessee is about the same, but they should be better. Are they? I don’t know. This week is hard, man.

Missouri 31, Tennessee 30

Missouri 36, Tennessee 7 – SUCCESS!

Ole Miss at Georgia – Well who thought this was going to be a random Top-9 matchup? But that Alabama-LSU Top-15 matchup tho! If this was in Oxford, I might pick the Rebels. How about Georgia getting all their ranked games at home, and their ranked games are Kentucky, Missouri, and Ole Miss. What a joke that whole program is.

Georgia 38, Ole Miss 21

Georgia 52, Ole Miss 17 – SUCCESS!

Florida at LSU – Was it Urban Meyer or Les Miles that used to be mad that these teams had to play, as if Auburn-Georgia wasn’t a thing since the beginning of time? Florida is not good. LSU is not elite, but they are at home and much better than Florida.

LSU 42, Florida 20

LSU 52, Florida 35 – SUCCESS!

Mississippi State at Texas A&M – It’s the battle of maroon! Both are probably playing with like their 2nd or 4th string quarterback. Mississippi State is done caring. Texas A&M has fully entered the playing for nothing realm. They are better than the Bulldogs, so they’ll likely run away with it at the end.

Texas A&M 34, Mississippi State 13

Texas A&M 51, Mississippi State 10 – SUCCESS!

Auburn at Arkansas – Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: going to Fayetteville is always stupid, but it’ll be alright.

Auburn 38, Arkansas 17

Auburn 48, Arkansas 10 – SUCCESS!

Other Games of Note

Michigan at Penn State – Who will steal the signs the most?! Who cares? There’s too much going on around Michigan and Penn State is an actual good team. Seriously, there’s all this talk about Michigan and they’re ranked top 3 and undefeated and I couldn’t tell you a single team they’ve beaten. Yeah, just looked. Nobody.

Penn State 31, Michigan 28

Michigan 24, Penn State 15 – FAILURE

USC at Oregon – Bo Nix is going to make Caleb Williams cry so hard.

Oregon 52, USC 28

Oregon 36, USC 27 – SUCCESS!
