After years of vandalism, erosion, toilet papering, etc., the stone eagles at Toomer’s needed a little work. Thanks to The Lathan Company, whom I’ve been lucky enough to meet on a few occasions (Las Vegas, tailgates, etc), these birds are as shiny and new as ever. Today, they returned to their perch where they have stood for over 50 years.
Here’s a little video about the whole process, with footage of the eagles taking their spots earlier today.
And War Eagle to you, Mr. British/Scottish/Irish stonemason.

Thanks for posting this. Wondered what was going on. I’ve always loved those eagles, even if they have always been overshadowed by the Toomer’s oak trees.
