Terry Bowden Takes His Jowls to Akron

It was announced today that ex-Auburn head coach, Terry Bowden, would be leaving his job at North Alabama to take over as the head man at the University of Akron. To most Auburn people, this is no big deal. They actually probably chuckled when they heard the news.

I don’t know many fans that have much love for the one they call “Shortie” because of his early departure during the 1998 season, the worst of the last 25 years at Auburn. So why a blogle about a coach we don’t really care for? Easy. HAVE YOU SEEN HIS JOWLS LATELY?

Also, it’s worth noting that he was so close to being able to use his old motto/slogans from Auburn. If Akron wasn’t known the “University of”, he could have easily used “AUdacity” and “AttitUde” again.

To most UNA people, like myself, its no big deal. Most in the Shoals are happy to see him go. Now UNA can go back to the UNA way.
