How is Dre Kirkpatrick a candidate?
I didn’t cringe at anything…I thought it was a good interview. WAR EAGLE, always!
Yeah, what was there to cringe about? We all know the kid is confident and to me that is a good thing.
“People put you on a pinnacle…”
All I hear is a winner……
“I’m just trying to get everyone on my level”
Mr. Cam Newton
“I am the lion that is removed from safari and put in a house”
I didn’t cringe one time. Cam is the definition of a stellar athlete, and that sh!tty Panthers team is holding him back. WAR DAMN EAGLE.
I agree with warblogle, Dean & LJ on the points of the interviewed and I did not cringe but whinced when he made his gaffes. Nobody should put this young rookie lion on a pedestal… only thing that could of made this interview better if he had said “I’m a peacock captain you have to let me spread my wings and fly”
Paul, I thought my sister, brother-in-law, and I were the only ones that quoted The Other Guys. Your reply made my morning…
But yeah, didn’t cringe either.
The Lion on safari in a house analogy didn’t make much sense. Overall it wasn’t any different than most NFL player interviews. I don’t expect Cam to be Drew Brees or Tom Brady – and I’m glad he’s not – he’s Cam, he’s awesome, and he’s earned the right to make crazy analogies and speak his mind.
I think his analogy of the Lion was right on…maybe he could have used Tiger. He went from ‘The Jungle’ of Jordan-Hare to the Panthers venue. Makes sense to me.
Pinnacle is not a Gaffe. It may not be what our ears are used to hearing (we want to hear pedestal) but a pinnacle is a tall spire such as the top of a mountain. If I were Cam, with his talents, I would be flying high and perched on a mountain top.
Way to go, CAM!!!
