Can you believe it’s already Week 10 of the season? It seems like it was yesterday that I was counting the days until the Arkansas State game. Now Georgia and Alabama are just over the horizon. Time flies when you’re 9-0.
This Week: 9-0
Last Week: 5-1
Overall: 65-20 (76.5%)
11/6
Florida at Vanderbilt – Florida seemed to find their way offensively last week to break a three game losing streak. That’s not good for the Commodores.
Florida 31, Vanderbilt 10
Florida 55, Vanderbilt 14 – SUCCESS!
Charleston Southern at Kentucky – I’m sure the Kentucky basketball team will be holding an open practice on Saturday. That should make for a few dozen Wildcat fans at Commonwealth Stadium.
Kentucky 41, Charleston Southern 17
Kentucky 49, Charleston Southern 21 – SUCCESS!
Idaho State at Georgia – Georgia takes on the Bengals in preparation for the real Tigers. Yawn.
Georgia 51, Idaho State 7
Georgia 55, Idaho State 7 – SUCCESS!
Alabama at LSU – Alabama was a better team last year. LSU was a worse team last year. LSU could have and probably should have beaten Alabama last year. That’s all that matters right? Yes, but home field advantage will help in this one, too.
Since everyone has forgotten that Alabama was beaten badly only a few weeks ago, they now have the Tide back as the nation’s most unbeatable team. It will be good to see them relegated to the Outback Bowl after this one.
LSU 24, Alabama 21
LSU 24, Alabama 21 – SUCCESS! **PERFECT PICK!**
UL-Lafayette at Ole Miss – You couldn’t pay me to watch or preview this one.
Ole Miss 38, UL-Lafayette 13
Ole Miss 43, UL-Lafayette 21 – SUCCESS!
Arkansas at South Carolina -I’ve seen an Arkansas win listed as an upset for this one. I wouldn’t call that an upset at all. This one is pretty even, but I’d give Arkansas the nod due to a superior passing game, and the fact that South Carolina is back to being South Carolina.
Arkansas 34, South Carolina 27
Arkansas 41, South Carolina 20 – SUCCESS!
Tennessee at Memphis – Memphis has one win on the season and has a chance of knocking off the Vols. What does that tell you?
Tennessee 24, Memphis 14
Tennessee 50, Memphis 14 – SUCCESS!
Other Games of Note
TCU at Utah – Utah’s schedule is about as bad as Boise State’s, but the only difference is that the Utes don’t necessarily blowout some of their simple foes. TCU should manhandle Utah and remove one from the list of the contenders.
TCU 38, Utah 17
TCU 47, Utah 7 – SUCCESS!
Arizona at Stanford – This is Stanford’s only real test for the rest of the season. Arizona still has to play Oregon. I don’t know why that matters, but I’m guessing the Cardinal win.
Stanford 28, Arizona 24
Stanford 42, Arizona 17 – SUCCESS!
Twit-Fam Prediction
UT-Chattanooga at Auburn -Pretty good turnout given the opponent for the week. I had an eleventy-hundred, an eleventy-million, and a pi (yes, 3.14…). I’m not sure if I can get those into the predictions, but thanks for participating. Here’s the average of your predictions:
Auburn 57, UT-Chattanooga 13
Auburn 62, UT-Chattanooga 24 – SUCCESS!
