Week 3 was solid, but remember when you had those tests in school and there were only 10-15 questions and missing one would give you a B? Yeah, math is not fair.
Last Week: 12-2 (85.7%)
This Week: 7-5 (58.3%)
Overall: 38-9 (81.0%)
Four SEC teams are off this week and four others are playing each other. That makes for much less games to pick. Thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
9/20
Arkansas at Memphis – Will the National Guard be there? Wait, Memphis is 3-0? Eh, their best win is Troy? Arkansas could’ve beaten Ole Miss last week, but didn’t. The Hawgs are probably good enough, though.
Arkansas 38, Memphis 17
Memphis 32, Arkansas 31 – FAILURE
UAB at Tennessee – Don’t hurt yourself, Vols. Lick those missed field goal wounds by beating a Blazer.
Tennessee 45, UAB 10
Tennessee 56, UAB 24 – SUCCESS!
Tulane at Ole Miss – The Green Wave barely beat South Alabama, then did beat Duke. They aren’t bad, but they aren’t beat Ole Miss at Ole Miss good.
Ole Miss 34, Tulane 17
Ole Miss 45, Tulane 10 – SUCCESS!
Northern Illinois at Mississippi State – Oh so the Maroons got their one good win against Arizona State and now get to coast to 4-0? Northern Illinois beat Holy Cross by two points. Yeah.
Mississippi State 49, Northern Illinois 7
Mississippi State 38, Northern Illinois 10 – SUCCESS!
South Carolina at Missouri – How in the world does South Carolina keep playing teams just as annoying as them? If their quarterback plays, they’ll lose by 7. If he doesn’t, they’ll lose by 24.
Missouri 38, South Carolina 14
Missouri 29, South Carolina 20 – SUCCESS!
Florida at Miami – ESPN’s College Gameday is going to this game because they want everything to be 1996. Miami isn’t as good as their record says. Florida might not be as bad as their record says. I think the Gators might pull it out.
Florida 21, Miami 17
Miami 26, Florida 7 – FAILURE
Georgia State at Vanderbilt – Just like Mississippi State, the Commodores get a gift to go 4-0. Let’s go over their wins to make this “not your daddy’s Vanderbilt.” They beat Charleston Southern, Virginia Tech (who already fired their coach), and South Carolina without their quarterback. WORLD BEATERS.
Vanderbilt 27, Georgia State 7
Vanderbilt 70, Georgia State 21 – SUCCESS!
SLU at LSU – What in the dyslexia is this???
LSU 52, SLU 0
LSU 56, SLU 10 – SUCCESS!
Sam Houston at Texas – Arch Manning is benched after two 1st half interceptions as the Longhorns score 38 points in the 2nd half. Sam Houston is 0-3? Eesh.
Texas 48, Sam Houston 9
Texas 55, Sam Houston 0 – SUCCESS!
Auburn at Oklahoma – Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: Jackson Arnold revenge tour is officially in effect.
Auburn 31, Oklahoma 21
Auburn 24, Auburn 17 – FAILURE
Other Games of Note
Texas Tech at Utah – I should never have to pick a game including Texas Tech and Utah. They’re both ranked and getting way too much credit, but I guess there is football on the other side of the Mississippi River. Utah is better.
Utah 28, Texas Tech 17
Texas Tech 34, Utah 10 – FAILURE
Illinois at Indiana – Oh wow both of these teams are ranked and they are state names and the states are right next to each other. Neither would sniff the top half of the SEC. Illinois will win by a lot.
Illinois 34, Indiana 10
Indiana 63, Illinois 10 – FAILURE
