I don’t know about you, but it usually takes me a good season or two to feel like I know much about new assistant coaches. I guess it has something to do with their success. If their unit is very good (or very bad), I usually learn everything I can about them over the course of that season. Now we don’t have to wait.
Auburn has released (actually a while back) a bunch of “Wired for Sound” videos for each of the football teams’ position coaches, giving us a good idea of what we have in Fall practice right now and what we’ll have on the sidelines during the season. These clips are from Spring practice, but it’s all the same as now. Just imagine less jackets and more shorts. We’ll start with the most entertaining.
Rodney Garner
Associate Head Coach/Defensive Line
Rhett Lashlee
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks
Ellis Johnson
Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers
Dameyune Craig
Co-Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers
Charlie Harbison
Co-Defensive Coordinator/Safeties
Scott Fountain
Special Teams Coordinator/Tight Ends
J.B. Grimes
Offensive Line
Melvin Smith
Cornerbacks
Tim Horton
Running Backs
So who’s your favorite? I’ll go with Rodney Garner.
