Week 9 Predictions

Well last week just sucked all around, didn’t it? Auburn didn’t win. My picks were the worst of the season. OUR PETS’ HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!!! Oh well, nothing to do, but to keep doing this thing. #grind

Last Week: 3-3
This Week: 4-2
Overall: 55-15 (78.6%)

10/29

Arkansas at Vanderbilt – Boy, what an exciting matchup. I’ll definitely be watching this one at the ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………..

Razorbacks by a lot.

Arkansas 45, Vanderbilt 14

Arkansas 31, Vanderbilt 28SUCCESS!

Georgia vs. Florida (Jacksonville, FL) – I’m not even going to try to figure out what happens to the SEC East race if either team wins. Florida had a tough stretch, but look who they played. Georgia is still not very good, but they’ll get the lightest Florida team they’ve faced in years. However, John Brantley should be returning and I think he’ll be enough to beat the pups. The Gators have won 11 out of the last 13. They’ll add to that embarrassing stat.

Florida 27, Georgia 21

Georgia 24, Florida 20FAILURE

Mississippi State at Kentucky – Boy, what an exciting matchup. I’ll definitely be watching this one at the ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………..

Mississippi State will win in OT.

Mississippi State 34, Kentucky 31

Mississippi State 28, Kentucky 16 SUCCESS!

South Carolina at Tennessee – South Carolina started the season with Lattimore and Garcia. They now have neither. Tennessee started the season with Tyler Bray (and his awesome tattoo), and now they don’t have him either. So basically, we have the shells of two already mediocre teams lining up to finish the other off. The only thing is that somehow South Carolina still has a great chance to win the East. I think knowing that will propel them to a win. Besides, we all know that losing Garcia was addition by subtraction anyway.

South Carolina 31, Tennessee 17

South Carolina 14, Tennessee 3SUCCESS!

Other Games of Note

Michigan State at Nebraska – It seems like Michigan State has been in every “Other Games of Note” this season. I guess they just keep playing ranked teams. I haven’t watched Nebraska play a down this year, but I know they got blown out by Wisconsin, and I know Michigan State beat Wisconsin last week. Ah, that doesn’t matter. This one is at Nebraska and Michigan State got lucky. Huskers win.

Nebraska 34, Michigan State 24

Nebraska 24, Michigan State 3 SUCCESS!

Clemson at Georgia Tech – This could possibly be a preview of the ACC Championship Game, which means they could possibly be playing again in front of 150 fans come December 4th. Georgia Tech has lost two in a row. Clemson continues to score tons of points just when you think they are about to take their first loss. Seriously, it seems like every game they are down 10 points, and the next time I look they are up by 100.

The “staunch” Georgia Tech crowd will keep the Yellow Jackets in this one for a half, but study time will clear out the stadium in the 3rd quarter, allowing the Tigers to win big again.

Clemson 38, Georgia Tech 20

Georgia Tech 31, Clemson 17FAILURE

**Upset Special**

Stanford at USC – It’s not too often that a USC win over Stanford would be considered an upset, but thanks to Pete Carroll, Reggie Bush, and even Lane Kiffin it now is. Stanford has played nobody. USC is at least decent. The Cardinal’s dreams end in Los Angeles, but at least they get to look at those cheerleaders.

USC 38, Stanford 31

Stanford 56, USC 48 FAILURE

Twit-Fam Prediction

Ole Miss at Auburn – Well, the talk about this game might have been light over the week, but the number of predictions were not. I believe we broke a record in terms of entries. We also broke a record on number of wiseguy entries.

A few of my favorites:

  • Auburn recent mascot name changes – 0, Ole Miss – 1
  • Auburn – like, a lot mkay? Ole Miss- like, totally not enough (female assessment)
  • Auburn 45, Ole Miss widdle bwack teddy bears 10
  • “Gus Malzahn 34, Houston’s Nutt/Rebel zombie-black bears-land sharks 10.

There was also an eleventy billion, and some guy picked Auburn to lose 147 to -31. I think he even claimed to be an Auburn fan. Get out. Now.

Auburn 35, Ole Miss 13

Auburn 41, Ole Miss 23SUCCESS!
