A few weeks ago, Florida freshman running back and 4-star recruit, Mike Blakely, announced he would be leaving the Gators. Today, it is being reported that he was given his release by Muschamp to transfer to Auburn, as I prophetically tweeted this morning. He will have to sit out a year, but will have four years of eligibility starting in 2012.
Imagine what SEC coaches are thinking now. In 2012, Auburn will have McCalebb as a senior, Dyer as a junior, Tre Mason as a sophomore (possibly redshirt freshman), and Blakely as a freshman. That’s pretty stout.
