Nothing like cupcake week to bring up that average. Week 13 is always my favorite to get things right.
Last Week: 11-1 (91.7%)
This Week: 0-0 (0.0%)
Overall: 98-32 (75.4%)
Rivalry week is always the toughest. But does anybody ever realize that rivalry week for SEC teams includes 6 games of in-conference play and 4 games of non-conference play. That needs to be fixed somehow.
11/28
Ole Miss at Mississippi State – Lane Kiffin will win the game, walk to the 50, set up a table, put an Ole Miss hat, a LSU hat, and a Florida hat on it, then rip his shirt off to reveal a middle finger painted on his chest, and we’ll never hear from him again.
Ole Miss 38, Mississippi State 28
Georgia at Georgia Tech – The Dawgs are getting way too much credit. The Jackets have looked not great recently, but Key will get his win over his rival. It won’t take 8 overtimes.
Georgia Tech 23, Georgia 20
Texas A&M at Texas – It won’t matter because the playoff system is awful, but Texas will give the Aggies the first loss of the season and thrust Arch Manning into the Heisman conversation for the rest of his life.
Texas 34, Texas A&M 27
11/29
Clemson at South Carolina – These teams are a combined 10-12. What an illustrious rivalry. South Carolina is somehow favored. Clemson is the better team. Beamer will be gone.
Clemson 31, South Carolina 10
Kentucky at Louisville – I thought Louisville was good at one point this season. I guess they did beat Miami. Now they’re 7-4. Kentucky did enough the last month to keep Stoops around, which they probably don’t want. A win would take them bowling. They won’t.
Louisville 35, Kentucky 28
LSU at Oklahoma – Look at these two big dumb names that don’t have real rivals, at least not a rival they play on rivalry week. It feels like this one should be big, but LSU beat Western Kentucky 13-10 last week. Oklahoma is ensuring a spot in the playoffs.
Oklahoma 27, LSU 7
Missouri at Arkansas – Drinkwitz just got locked in at Missouri. I’m sure they’re thrilled. Arkansas has unofficially hired South Florida’s coach. The Hawgs have been very close to winning all year, but they don’t. Missouri is definitely the better team, but it’ll be a tough one.
Missouri 34, Arkansas 30
Vanderbilt at Tennessee – SEC Nation went to this game instead of the Iron Bowl. If Diego Pavia could leave college football, that would be great. Tennessee will barely win solely because they are the home team. Diego’s brother and mom are gonna be so sad.
Tennessee 27, Vanderbilt 21
Florida State at Florida – The combined record of these teams is 8-14. It’s sad, really. Even sadder is that Florida State is predicted to win. And they will because Gus got this.
Florida State 31, Florida 10
Alabama at Auburn– Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: they scared, and they should be scared.
Other Games of Note
Arizona at Arizona State – Remember how I say something every week about there are never any ranked-on-ranked games outside of the SEC? This one is #20 vs. #25. I guess that counts. Dillingham is likely staying and he’ll turn this whole thing into a big raise.
Arizona State 38, Arizona 17
Ohio State at Michigan – The Buckeyes will be confused as to why the team they’re playing has a number next to their name. It’s called a ranking. It’s the first one they’ve seen. The thing is Michigan has their ranking because they pretty much play the same teams. Ohio State is better and will win.
Ohio State 27, Michigan 20
Now that you know who will win, head on over to the 2025 War Blogle Pick ’em and get your picks in. There will be weekly prizes and an overall winner at the end of the season. It’s easy. Do it.
