Another mediocre performance in Week 11. This is not going to do it. Must do better.
Last Week: 5-3 (62.5%)
This Week: 5-3 (62.5%)
Overall: 80-28 (74.1%)
It’s a weird week. We have some big games by name, some that aren’t, and some non-conference stuff.
11/15
South Carolina at Texas A&M – We want Texas A&M to lose because there’s no way they’re an elite football team. But then South Carolina needs to lose every game because I want them to. I guess we’ll go with the home, ranked team.
Texas A&M 31, South Carolina 13
Arkansas at LSU – Neither team has a coach. Arkansas seemingly doesn’t care about getting one. LSU is doing everything they can to run any sensible coach off. The problem for LSU is that Arkansas has an interim coach trying his best to get the job. He’s scoring 30+ points a game (except against Auburn). LSU’s plus is they’re playing at home, but I don’t think any of their fans can anymore this season.
Arkansas 31, LSU 24
Tennessee Tech at Kentucky – Kentucky barely beat Auburn, then destroyed Florida, and now gets Tennessee Tech. Yeah, they’re stuck with Stoops.
Kentucky 42, Tennessee Tech 10
Oklahoma at Alabama – The Tide has never beaten Oklahoma in the regular season. Last season, Jackson Arnold killed them. But he’s not there anymore, so Alabama will win.
Alabama 23, Oklahoma 13
New Mexico State at Tennessee – //checks New Mexico State roster… don’t worry, Tennessee. You’re good.
Tennessee 38, New Mexico State 7
Florida at Ole Miss – If Ole Miss loses, will they send Lane back to Gainesville with the Gators? If Lane has a pair, he wins by 50, makes Florida offer him anything he wants, and then stays in Oxford.
Ole Miss 45, Florida 14
Texas at Georgia – It feels like this should be one of the biggest games of the SEC season, but I guess the Fall of Arch™ and Georgia’s boringness has put a damper on things. It’ll be close, but the Dawgs will pull away, pretty much like every Georgia game.
Georgia 27, Texas 17
Mississippi State at Missouri – Missouri’s reality check of a 2nd half schedule takes a small break as the better-but-can’t-win Maroons comes to town. Drinkwitz will be checking his phone for calls from John Cohen the whole 2nd half, which will allow State to mount a comeback that they can’t finish.
Missouri 38, Mississippi State 31
Other Games of Note
Notre Dame at Pitt – I hate that this is a game of note, but as I’ve said all season, there are almost zero ranked games that don’t include SEC teams each week. If Notre Dame wins, they take another step toward the playoffs. Pitt is 7-2, but they haven’t beaten anybody good. It won’t be close.
Notre Dame 34, Pitt 17
Iowa at USC – This is disgusting. Iowa wins because Lincoln Riley wants out.
Iowa 17, USC 13
