Week 6 Predictions: Bye Week Bliss

Week 5 was fine. A passing grade. D’s get degrees. C’s get you… something. That’s all got.

Last Week: 7-3 (70.0%)
This Week: 0-0 (0.0%)
Overall: 45-12 (78.9%)

This is a very bland week of football. Many teams are finally getting a bye after most of these others already had one after 3-4 weeks football.

10/4

Kentucky at Georgia – The Wildcats are not good. Georgia let a mediocre Alabama beat them in Athens last week. Georgia isn’t great either, but they’ll kill Kentucky out of spite.

Georgia 42, Kentucky 17

Texas at Florida – The Longhorns hung with Ohio State in Week 1 in which we learned that Arch Manning is very average. Since then, they haven’t exactly blown out bad teams. Now they get to go to Florida. They’ll win, but it won’t be easy.

Texas 17, Florida 10

Vanderbilt at Alabama – When this is your marquee game of the week, you know the week is bad, but you also know that college football is down bad. Alabama will win. Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt despite what those inflated scores against Utah State and Georgia State tell you.

Alabama 34, Vanderbilt 13

Kent State at Oklahoma – Oklahoma got Auburn, a bye, then Kent State. Auburn got Oklahoma, Texas A&M, a bye, and then Georgia. This is almost as egregious as the officiating in Norman.

Oklahoma 42, Kent State 7

Mississippi State at Texas A&M – The Maroons battle the Maroons. The ones from Mississippi almost could’ve beaten Tennessee. The Aggies are nothing special, but they’ll just win because they’re at home… again.

Texas A&M 31, Mississippi State 21

Other Games of Note

Virginia at Louisville – What a bad week of football. The Cavaliers beat Florida State and are ranked. Louisville is 4-0. They’ve apparently been playing the high school circuit. Sure, let’s give the home team a win.

Louisville 28, Virginia 27

Miami at Florida State – The Hurricanes are not near as good as 35-50 year olds want them to be because they remember they were good when they were kids. Florida State’s win over Alabama took a big hit with the loss at Virginia last week. This is a tough one. How good is Florida State? I think good enough.

Florida State 38, Miami 31
