TEAM HISTORY
Baylor’s football team represents a university in Waco, Texas. They are a private Baptist school. They are the Bears. Since they have no affiliation with the Branch Davidians, the most interesting thing to happen in Waco besides Chip and JoAnna Gaines, I can’t say there’s much else interesting beyond that.
SERIES HISTORY
It’s a short one. Not a shower or a grower. Just a 1-2-1 record that favors Baylor. The two teams haven’t met since 1976, and much has changed for both programs since.
WHAT TO WATCH
It’s the first game of the season on a Friday night on the road in a place far from home. There will be some sloppiness to contend with. Expect it. DON’T PANIC. Sit on your towel and be grateful, for a moment, that football is back.
PREDICTION
We will win. Right? I mean, these are the kinda games we come out looking rusty and sloppy, but find a way to win. I’m going to predict we have a decent defensive showing and a few FGs keep us out in front, but with the game never completely secured until the final whistle.
