Week 13 Predictions: Nearing the End

The only way to follow up an awful Week 11 is to use Week 12 to bring things back to normal.

Last Week: 8-2 (80.0%)
This Week: 0-0 (0.0%)
Overall: 91-41 (68.9%)

There’s a lot of cupcake stuff, but then some other teams are playing some very serious football. Let’s see…

11/23

Ole Miss at Florida – The Rebels are hanging by a thread in the playoff talk. One more loss and they’re out. Florida beat LSU and are now 5-5 on the season. They’ll beat Florida State, so this one could help their bowl standing. It won’t matter. They won’t win this one.

Ole Miss 34, Florida 20

UMass at Georgia – The Minutemen seem to have played half the SEC this year. They were destroyed in all and they’ll be destroyed in this one.

Georgia 52, UMass 3

UTEP at Tennessee – El Paso seems like a fun place to go.

Tennessee 42, UTEP 10

Kentucky at Texas – The Wildcats are meddling. The Longhorns are hearing from everybody that their ranking is not warranted because they haven’t beaten a ranked team. They won’t beat one this week, either, so now they have to destroy lesser teams for style points.

Texas 45, Kentucky 10

Wofford at South Carolina – I hate South Carolina.

South Carolina 41, Wofford 7

Louisiana Tech at Arkansas – The Hawgs and the Dawgs. Who always forgets that the mascot of Louisiana Tech is the Bulldogs? I mean I’m sure there are plenty of illegal dog fights in Louisiana, but still…

Arkansas 30, Louisiana Tech 10

Missouri at Mississippi State – I hate Missouri. Mississippi State is not a factor and won’t be for a very long time.

Missouri 38, Mississippi State 27

Alabama at Oklahoma – Why does Alabama and Auburn get former Big 12 teams before the Iron Bowl now? More terrible scheduling from Greg Sankey. The Sooners aren’t good, but Alabama lost at Vandy, so maybe they’d lose in Norman? We’re not that lucky.

Alabama 34, Oklahoma 14

Vanderbilt at LSU – Both teams are 6-4. One team is ecstatic. One team thinks it’s a disaster. LSU will win not because it’s a home night game, but because Vandy doesn’t have three season-defining wins in them this season.

LSU 28, Vanderbilt 17

Texas A&M at Auburn – Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: they’re weird.

Other Games of Note

Indiana at Ohio State – The Hoosiers haven’t beaten a ranked team, nor have they beaten a team with less than four losses. They are a fraud. They’ll play Ohio State somewhat tight for a half because the Buckeyes aren’t all that either, but we can end this little guy show now.

Ohio State 31, Indiana 14

Army at Notre Dame – I hate saying the same thing about our military, but this is football. Yeah, same thing as I just said up there.

Notre Dame 45, Army 17

Now that you know who will win, head on over to the 2024 War Blogle Pick ’em and get your picks in. There will be weekly prizes and an overall winner at the end of the season. It’s easy. Do it.
