Blogle’s SEC Picks, 2026 Edition: Week 9
A semi-solid 5-3 slate last week, but we can do better. Given how this year gone, it’s tough to know if Auburn at Georgia is going to show up or if Florida at South Carolina is who is playing this week. Only 10 SEC teams play on Halloween this year. The others get to Trick-or-Treat. No fair.

😴 SHOULD BE OVER EARLY – If this is close in the fourth quarter, somebody’s fired.
Mississippi State at Texas (6:30 PM, ESPN) — The Maroons don’t have a quarterback and the Longhorns have one sometimes. He’ll definitely be enough for this one.
Longhorns 34-10
Missouri at Arkansas (6:45 PM, SEC) — The Razorbacks did get an SEC win, so there may be a little bit of a crowd, but crowds don’t win football games for bad teams.
Yellow Tigers 30-17
👀 KEEP AN EYE ON ‘EM – Predictable, but there’s a chance.
South Carolina at Oklahoma (3:15 PM, SEC) — Cocktober ends on Halloween. They used all their juice last week.
Sooners 20-17
🍿 WORTH WATCHING – Actual football games between actual football teams.
Florida vs. Georgia (2:30 PM, ABC) — They’re playing this one in Atlanta because Georgia gets every big game within an hour of their campus. I’m so glad they got a week to rest to play their 2nd rival.

🏆 GAME OF THE WEEK – (it’s always the Auburn game)
Auburn at Ole Miss (11:45 AM, SEC) — When your stadium is small, and it’s before noon, any semblance of home field advantage goes away.

Arizona at Texas Tech (11 AM, ESPN) — I refuse to think this is two Top 25 teams.

Ohio State at USC (6:30 PM, NBC) — I refuse to think this is a conference matchup.
