Hello fellow degenerates, @Beau here, it’s Championship week. The only thing that saddens me is the season is all but over. @Chuck and I have been relatively fat and happy this season with a record of (44-34-4) on the season. Our wives haven’t treated us poorly, we’ve spent less nights on the couch than most years, and we’ve been drinking top shelf. No reason to stop now, right? Again, it’s championship week. Let’s finish this thing strong. Here are your conference championship winners.
New Mexico State vs Liberty -10.5
As much as we want to say New Mexico State covers this after what they did to our beloveds, we just can’t see it happening. Liberty has been rolling and I don’t think their done just yet. New Mexico State will try to slow this game down but eventually Liberty pulls away late.
Oregon vs Washington +9.5
Let me start out by saying we think Oregon wins the football game. 9.5 points just seems like a lot. Penix will make enough plays to keep this one close. Oh yeah, Bo Nix is an absolute menace and probably going to win the Heisman.
Oklahoma State +15 vs Texas
A common theme this Saturday apparently, just too many points. We think Texas wins the football game, but 15 points is just too many. The Cowboys keep it closer than that in a losing effort. Texas makes the CFP.
Georgia vs Alabama +6
Imagine these two teams playing each other in Atlanta, who would have thought? Auburn should have beaten both of these team, but any who. Saban is pissed. He’s about to show the world that UGA hasn’t passed them the way the world wants you to think. Georgia has beaten Alabama once in the last 15 years, but you’d think they owned Alabama…Tide wins outright.
SMU vs Tulane -3
What a job Rhett Lashlee has done with this SMU squad. They haven’t lost a conference game all season and arguably should be ranked. Tulane just has too much fire power, and they are now healthy. Look for the Green Waves to the run the football and keep that SMU offense off the field.
Iowa vs Michigan -21.5
For us this is probably the toughest pick on the board. This seems like way too many points but how on earth is Iowa going to score? I just don’t see Iowa getting in the endzone and Michigan is rolling. Smells like a 27-3 Michigan win.
Louisville +2 vs Florida State
Florida State’s playoff dreams end here. It’s unfortunate because it will definitely be due the fact Jordan Travis isn’t on the field. Louisville got caught looking ahead last week against Kentucky, but I think FSU has their full attention. Louisville wins.
