Blogle’s SEC Picks, 2026 Edition: Week 8
We’re in the meat of the schedule and the transfer portal has made the SEC psycho this year, so that explains the 50/50 last week. There are only six SEC games this week, and the national slate is terrible. Let’s take a look.
This Week: 0-0 | Last Week: 5-5 | Season: 66-19 | Locks: 5-2
😴 SHOULD BE OVER EARLY – If this is close in the fourth quarter, somebody’s fired.
Vanderbilt at Kentucky (6:30 PM, SEC) — This used to be the Bottom Bowl. Now Kentucky continues to look good because Vandy is terrible again.
Cats 31-17
👀 KEEP AN EYE ON ‘EM – Predictable, but there’s a chance.
Texas A&M at Alabama (2:30 PM, ABC) — Aggies bad, Bams not as bad.
Tahd 30-7
Oklahoma at Mississippi State (2:30 PM, SEC) — Both quarterbacks are hurt. Oklahoma has a better defense.
Sooners 20-10
🍿 WORTH WATCHING – Actual football games between actual football teams.
Ole Miss at Texas (6:30 PM, ABC) — Somehow Texas is favored. They’re down bad.
Rebels 35-21
Tennessee at South Carolina (2:30 PM, ESPN) — Can both lose? Tennessee has been riding some voodoo. South Carolina got their one big win against Florida.
Vols 31-17
🏆 GAME OF THE WEEK – (it’s always the Auburn game)
LSU at Auburn (11 AM, ABC) — I am not scared of LSU. Why should I be?
Good Tigers 28-23
📺 BEYOND THE SEC – I guess they play football elsewhere.
Indiana at Michigan (11 AM, FOX) — Indiana will keep their foot inbounds many times.
Hoosiers 38-20
Houston at Utah (9:15 PM, ESPN) — This is sad. Even sadder is College Gameday will be there.
Utes 17-14
🔥 Lock: Kentucky over Vanderbilt
💩 Stinker: Kentucky over Vanderbilt
🤡 Pick I’ll Regret: Oklahoma over Mississippi State
