Memphis vs. Hawai’i – Less than 24 hours before kickoff, the host team Hawai’i cancelled due to COVID-19. Well, I guess Memphis got a nice trip out of it.

Georgia State vs. Ball State – I once spent a Christmas Day in Cramton Bowl for the now defunct Blue-Gray Game. It wasn’t the most fun thing. Not sure this one will be, either.

Boston College vs. East Carolina – It’s Bruce Pearl’s alma mater against one of Pat Dye’s coaching stops before he got to Auburn. What does it mean for this game? Absolutely nothing. But East Carolina is the Pirates and pirates are kinda like the military in a way, so yeah, that’ll do it.

UCLA vs. NC State – The longest bowl name has two teams that officially go by their abbreviations. The Wolfpack isn’t bad. UCLA isn’t either, but I’m feeling NC State. The Bruins can’t be pumped about going from LA to San Diego for a bowl game.
