Ranking the SEC After Week 8

For the first time ever, there are no changes this week. It was a light slate with only 5 games that included SEC teams. And guess what… this coming week only has 4 games including SEC teams, but there are some chances for movement.

poll4

1. Georgia (7-0)

The Dawgs were off, preparing to pretend the Florida game is tough.

(Last week: #1, bye week)

2. Alabama (7-1)

The Tide trailed Tennessee and then Tennessee Tennessee’d.

(Last week: #2, beat Tennessee 52-24)

3. Auburn (5-2)

Auburn was off relishing in another road win and preparing a fun one at home.

(Last week: #3, bye week)

4. Ole Miss (6-1)

The Rebels beat a team that’s basically without a coach by two touchdowns. Congrats.

(Last week: #4, beat LSU 31-17)

5. Texas A&M (6-2)

Texas A&M beat a bad team.

(Last week: #5, beat South Carolina 44-14)

6. Kentucky (6-1)

Kentucky is not that good.

(Last week: #6, bye week)

7. Arkansas (5-3)

The Razorbacks, fresh off three straight losses, got back on the winning track with a team called Pine Bluff.

(Last week: #7, beat Arkansas – Pine Bluff 45-3)

8. LSU (4-4)

Now that’s official that Orgeron is gone, I’m not sure they’re gonna win another one.

(Last week: #8, lost at Ole Miss 31-17)

9. Florida (4-3)

The Gators are on a downward trend and maybe Dan Mullen isn’t a good football coach just because Mississippi State wasn’t embarrassing EVERY season while he was there.

(Last week #9, bye week)

10. Mississippi State (4-3)

The Maroons only beat Vanderbilt 45-6. Only 45-6.

(Last week: #10, beat Vanderbilt 45-6)

11. Tennessee (4-4)

Tennessee is Tennessee. I haven’t been scared of them since they made it a 10-point game in the 2nd half of the 2004 SEC Championship Game.

(Last week: #11, lost at Alabama 52-24)

12. Missouri (3-4)

Y’all didn’t know that Bye Week means like bye, like leave? Get out of here.

(Last week: #12, bye week)

13. South Carolina (4-4)

Beating some bad teams and not getting destroyed by good teams appears to be over until next season.

(Last week: #13, lost at Texas A&M 44-14)

14. Vanderbilt (2-6)

The ‘Dores made a lower tier team look elite. That’s how bad they are.

(Last week: #14, lost to Mississippi State 45-6)
