The first Champions Tour major tournament, The Regions Tradition, starts today at Shoal Creek in Birmingham. This, of course, means Auburn coaches and celebrities alike made the trek up 280 to take part in the Celebrity Pro-Am yesterday. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see Gus Malzahn play after Chizik would only take part in a “putting challenge.” I mean, he won every year, but you gotta play, Chiz.
With it being a major, the Golf Channel had the full crew on site, which means their own Holly Sonders was there to interview the players. She was able to sit down with Gus, Bruce, and Charles Barkley for a few minutes and all three were equally entertaining.
