Here’s a list with accompanying videos of The Love of Sports’ top 15 human highlight films. Auburn’s own Bo Jackson tops the list. Take a look and notice that there are no bammers in site. Come to think of it, has Alabama ever had a player that was nationally recognized or famous for anything other than being a drunk?

Oh, Kurtis … must you be so obnoxiously abrasive?
I’ve neither the heart nor the time to refute such inflammatory nonsense. I suppose one could mention the MVPs of the first three Super Bowls (all UA alums), or the greatest offensive lineman ever (John Hannah) or possibly, in more recent years, people like Derrick Thomas or Cornelius Bennett. But yeah … Alabama’s a bunch of a drunks, thugs and jerks … blah, blah, blah.
On a separate note, this list seems like it was put together rather hastily and with very little thought. Obviously, no one can argue with Bo, but where’s Ozzie Smith? Or Herschel Walker? I could go on, I guess.
Ah well. Flame on, WarBlogler.

ahh finally, my crass words get a response. although most of my comments were made just to get a conversation going, i still disagree with most of your “famous” people. the people on your list never won a heisman, had shoes made just for them, or anything close. yes bennett was awesome, but i believe if you asked a million people who john hannah or derrick thomas was, 99% of the people that knew of them would be wearing crimson. i do agree with you on the list. some are right, but some are ridiculous.
And cocaine. Don’t forget cocaine. We’re very good with cocaine.
