It’s one of those out of conference weeks for a few teams as they prep for their Amen Corner, so a few chances to get my record back right.

Texas at Arkansas – This feels like an old SWAC game. That’s because it was, Blogle. They’re both in the Southeastern Conference now, but they used to be in what was called the Southwestern Conference for some reason. The Longhorns are the better team. Arkansas showed signs, but they’re nothing special.

Murray State at Kentucky – Did you know Murray State is in the state of Kentucky? Yeah, that’s all I got.

Mercer at Alabama – The Bears are actually good by their standards. They are 9-1 with a 55-35 loss to Samford, so maybe they aren’t THAT good. But they’re Mercer good. The only chance we have is if Alabama thinks they’re something after killing LSU and are looking ahead to… Oklahoma? Yeah, nevermind.

LSU at Florida – Remember when this used to pretend to be a big game? These two teams are about equal, but Florida thinks that’s okay and LSU thinks that’s bad. It’ll be close, but LSU will pull it out in the end.

Missouri at South Carolina – People make jokes about the meteor of death winning, but yeah, I want the meteor to win this one. They’re both C-level programs that people love to pull for because they’ll never be elite.

Tennessee at Georgia – Apparently this one has SEC Championship Game ramifications? Don’t care. The new system is stupid. NIL is stupid. The transfer portal is stupid. Just play football. Georgia only wins because they’re at home.

Clemson at Pitt – Both have two losses. Clemson appears to not be totally awful. Pitt just got destroyed by SMU. I don’t care how good SMU is these days. That shouldn’t happen to a good team.
