Ladies and gentlemen don’t look now but its October! I say it’s the second-best month of the year but ‘Blogle constantly reminds me that it is the clearcut best month of the year. You will never meet a human that loves spooky season more than him. He loves Halloween more than @Chuck loves gambling. He loves Halloween more than I love bourbon. Alright I’m taking things a little too far there, but you get where I’m coming from.
Again, it’s October. It is a perfect time to scare the hell out of the bookie man. We had a rough week last week going (2-4) after Auburn and Michigan absolutely sold, but that’s part of it. We did hit another bonus teaser though! We learn, we move on. New month new me amirite? We’re sitting at (13-15) on the year its October now baby. Time to get right. Here are your week 6 winners.
Boston College +1 @ Virginia
The eye test tells us Boston College is just the better football team here. They have looked a lot better against a lot better competition than Virginia has against weaker competition. No need to overthink this one. BC is just more physical up front on both sides.
Pittsburgh -2.5 @ North Carolina
I think James Madison just scored again…
Ole Miss -8.5 @ South Carolina
Recent history will tell you South Carolina is the play here, but it isn’t. We think this is two teams that haven’t really shown their true identity yet. South Carolina has looked better than most thought, but they may be a bit of fool’s gold. Ole Miss should be nice and pissed off after last week’s disaster against Kentucky. We’ll know who these teams really are after this week.
Auburn @ Georgia U52.5
If Auburn doesn’t turn the ball over this game should be low scoring. Auburn’s defense has played well these last few weeks and UGA has one of the best defenses in the country. This will be a hungry UGA team coming off of their loss to Bama last week I just don’t see Auburn scoring many points.
Teaser: Alabama -16.5/Clemson -8.5
The only question for Alabama is will there be a hangover after the huge win last week. I think Vandy is much improved, but they don’t have the dudes to keep this thing close unless Bama has a meltdown. Clemson has looked very strong since their week one loss to UGA and Florida State… I mean come on. Clemson should roll.
Michigan +1.5 @ Washington
You know what @Chuck and I always say, if it looks like a trap, smells like a trap, and acts like a trap. It’s not a trap. Michigan got back doored last week, and they aren’t going to let us down this week in this trappiest of traps.
Teaser: Tennessee -7.5/USC -2.5
Tennessee hasn’t looked anything but good so far this season. Arkansas has played some solid ball but have no shown no signs of being able to slay a dragon. USC, outside of the Michigan loss has looked very solid. They just simply have more dudes than Minnesota.
UCF @ Florida +2
The fighting Gus Malzahns come into the swamp as favorites. UCF coming off of an ugly loss to Colorado last week while losing a few kids to redshirts isn’t the fun vibes Orlando is looking for right now. Florida at home fighting for their coach’s job and having two weeks to prepare for this game sounds like a winner to us. Go Gators.
