TEAM HISTORY
The New Mexico Lobos football team sounds a lot like the Texican Rock ‘n Roll music group Los Lonely Boys.
Their first major hit single “Heaven” was released in 2004 and peaked at #16 on the Billboard Top 100 charts soon afterward and reached #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
The Los Lonely Boys have achieved far more in their existence than the New Mexico Lobos.

WHAT TO WATCH
Oh boy. Um, after an abysmal performance at home against Cal watch to see if Auburn’s offense can get something – ANYTHING – going. Payton Thorne turned the ball over 4 times so watch to see if he can regain his confidence.
Watch to see if Auburn’s coaches will adjust their scheme to play towards our strengths! My greatest critique of Hugh so far is that he’s so committed to running a certain style of offense that he seems to ignore our personnel strengths. We have two stellar RBs. USE THEM HUGH. Auburn and Cal tied the 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarter. The difference came in the 2nd quarter where the time of possession heavily favored Cal. Jarquez Hunter had 3 carries in the first half. Make it make sense because $wag Kelly ain’t walking through our QB rotation this season, Hugh.
Watch to see if Durkin’s defense posts a shutout which I will refer to this season as a Durkin’ Donuts…
PREDICTION
I mean, Auburn wins right? After all, this isn’t New Mexico State.
We’ll score points, and I don’t think it will tell us much about how or if this offense has improved. I’m hungry and desperately need something to dunk in my coffee while I’ve been writing this so I choose to believe DJ’s defense will get the Durkin’ Donut.
