Auburn started off the 10th Birmingham Bowl hot on offense, but did nothing for most of the 2nd quater except give Memphis chances to stay in the game. However, the defense would have none of that and continued to stop the Memphis offense. Once it was apparent that Memphis was going nowhere, the Auburn offense loosened up and ran away with it.
