On top of the Iron Bowl outcome, I didn’t do too well in last week’s picks either. Only thing to do is to keep doing it, which is why I’m picking games this week even though Auburn is at home waiting on a bowl invitation.
Last Week: 5-4
This Week: 4-2
Overall: 85-26 (76.6%)
12/2
UCLA at Oregon (Pac-12 Championship) – If the Bruins do somehow upset the Ducks, would UCLA be the first team to ever hire a coach back only weeks after firing him. Think about it. How can a school fire a coach that just sent his team to the Rose Bowl? Oh well, it won’t happen. Ducks big.
Oregon 63, UCLA 20
Oregon 49, UCLA 31 – SUCCESS!
12/3
Southern Miss at Houston (C-USA Championship) – Houston 56, UAB 13. UAB 34, Southern Miss 31. Yep, that’s pretty much all I need to see.
Houston 45, Southern Miss 21
Southern Miss 49, Houston 28 – FAILURE
Georgia vs. LSU (SEC Championship) – The only way the Bulldogs even put a dent in the scoreboard is if LSU comes out flat. LSU won’t come out flat. They will pummel Georgia mercilessly like Auburn pummeled South Carolina in last year’s championship game. Chaos-causing upsets just don’t happen in this game.
LSU 31, Georgia 10
LSU 42, Georgia 10 – SUCCESS!
Virginia Tech vs. Clemson (ACC Championship) – I never really took Clemson seriously this year. Oh yeah, I bet you took ’em seriously when they were whooping Auburn, barner. Besides, they are Clemson. Ending a season on a low note is what they do. Virginia Tech is on a roll and will cause chaos for the postseason. And by that I mean for the Chick-Fil-A bowl selection committee and Auburn fans.
Virginia Tech 31, Clemson 17
Clemson 38, Virginia Tech 10 – FAILURE
Wisconsin vs. Michigan State (Big Ten Championship) – Wisconsin was expected to be very good and ended up being a little better than so-so. Michigan State was expected to be so-so and ended up being a little better than so-s0. Wisconsin has the better quarterback, running back, and defense. Badgers win.
Wisconsin 23, Michigan State 13
Wisconsin 42, Michigan State 39 – SUCCESS!
Other Games of Note
Oklahoma at Oklahoma State – Oklahoma State was upset by Iowa State on the road in double overtime. Oklahoma was beat down by Texas Tech. Iowa State put the beat down on Texas Tech. Yes, I think this way. This year, Oklahoma State is the better team and knows that if they absolutely blowout the Sooners, they may, MAY, have a shot at jumping Alabama in the BCS poll. One can hope. Oh, not because I’m an Auburn fan. Because I don’t want to see a rematch, regardless of who it is.
Oklahoma State 41, Oklahoma 21
Oklahoma State 44, Oklahoma 10 – SUCCESS!
**Upset Special**
Iowa State at Kansas State – What would help Oklahoma State’s claim for a spot in the BCS National Championship game more than the team they lost to winning a big game on the road? Let’s do it, Paul Rhoads. Be so proud.
Iowa State 34, Kansas State 28
Kansas State 30, Iowa State 23 – FAILURE

“Oh, not because I’m an Auburn fan. Because I don’t want to see a rematch, regardless of who it is.” BULL. SHIT.
LSU 48, UGA 3
Let me ask you a question. If Auburn were in Alabama’s position, would you still be so against a rematch? If you say yes, you’re a damn liar.
I’m an Auburn fan and I don’t want a rematch because it’s Alabama. But if it were Auburn, different story.
Wanting a rematch and justifying a rematch are two different things. If Auburn was in Alabama’s situation and Auburn beat LSU in the BCS NCG, I would 100% feel sleazy and undeserving of completely calling Auburn the champions. In this situation there needs to be a playoff and/or a best 2 out of 3.
So, would I want Auburn to play? Of course. Would I completely understand everything that everyone is arguing against Alabama right now? Absolutely.
I have to agree. If Alabama beats LSU, then they should play a third match to determine a winner because a TIE should not determine a champion.
I want lay to beat georgia so Alabama does t get any help! War eagle
