With the Tigers off this week, we can sit back and watch a great slate of games. Wait, Appalachian State at Florida?! Dang it…
This Week: 7-1
Last Week: 7-1
Overall: 79-22 (78.2%)
Georgia State at Alabama – The outrage over the blasphemy that is playing a football game on Thursday night in Tuscaloosa is pretty funny. “The Tahd don’t play on Thursday,” they say. Well, actually…as of tonight…you do.
Alabama 42, Georgia State 0
Alabama 63, Georgia State 7 – SUCCESS!
Troy at South Carolina – Ten bucks says this one is close well into the 2nd half. Any takers? Remember, we’re talking about South Carolina here.
South Carolina 31, Troy 21
South Carolina 69, Troy 24 – SUCCESS!
Appalachian State at Florida – Well Florida’s done. Do they even show up for this one? Will Urban call in sick?
Florida 48, Appalachian State 10 – SUCCESS!
Ole Miss at LSU – Geez Ole Miss, 52 points to Tennessee?! What do you think LSU’s offense is gonna do to you now? They’re bound to score at least 7 or 10 on you.
LSU 28, Ole Miss 10
LSU 43, Ole Miss 36 – SUCCESS!
Arkansas at Mississippi State – The Razorbacks could easily sneak into a BCS bowl if they win their next two games. They’ll knock off the back-down-to-Earth, soon-to-be-on-probation Bulldogs to set up a big game with LSU next week.
Arkansas 38, Mississippi State 17
Arkansas 38, Mississippi State 31 – SUCCESS!
Tennessee at Vanderbilt – Combined record of these two teams: 6-14. Yikes.
Tennessee 31, Vanderbilt 17
Tennessee 24, Vanderbilt 10 – SUCCESS!
Other Games of Note
Virginia Tech at Miami – I’ll be honest, it would be good to see the Hurricanes beat the Hokies to put another flat on the Boise Bus. As much as most doubt that it will happen, you have to remember that regardless of how crazy things seem a few weeks before the end of the season, most of the time the right things happen to leave no controversy at the top. This is one of those weeks.
Miami gives Virginia Tech their third loss of the season to knock Boise down the ladder.
Miami 24, Virginia Tech 21
Virginia Tech 31, Miami 17 – FAILURE
Nebraska at Texas A&M – The Aggies could give the Cornhuskers a little trouble, and shake up the top 10. Can you tell how much I care about this one?
Texas A&M 27, Nebraska 21
Texas A&M 9, Nebraska 6 – SUCCESS!
