Cam Newton makes for a lot of tidbits. I’ll take it though.
- Auburn jumped five spots in both of the major polls (#15-Coaches’, #16-AP).
- CollegeFootballNews.com doesn’t show the Auburn the has much as they usually do as they have the Tigers ranked #18. Not too bad, but CFN usually has Auburn ranked higher than any other polls.
- I’m not sure what the difference is, but here are ESPN’s Power Rankings.
- Auburn moves ahead of LSU in Chris Low’s SEC Power Rankings.
- In the biggest no-surprise of the weekend, Nick Fairley was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week.
- He also got a helmet sticker.
- In other honors, Chris Low thinks Ted Roof is hot.
- Pat Dye gives his thoughts on the last weekend and what it means for the SEC.
- The Auburn-Mississippi State game wasn’t pretty, but someone thought it was the SEC Game of the Week.
- Some SEC Bloggers round out the weekend.
- In news that really matters right now, ESPN picks Auburn to play Texas in the Cotton Bowl, and CFN picks them to play Michigan State in the Gator Bowl.
- Jason Campbell likes what he sees in Cam Newton.

- Even though Chizik doesn’t love it, Newton has Auburn leading the SEC in rushing.

- Cam is now #5 on SI.com’s Heisman Watch. It’s ridiculous to have a Heisman Watch this early in the season, but it’s a lot easier to win it if you’re already getting mentioned this early in the season.
- Even though most of the world is saying good things, Jon Solomon had to find something negative to say.
- While others were wondering if Ziemba would return next week against Clemson, he was letting his twit-fam know that he was doing just fine.
- ESPN’s Gameday will be at Auburn this weekend as the Tigers take on Clemson.

- On a relatively light weekend of games, Auburn-Clemson is ESPN’s #1 game to watch. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the game being broadcasted on ESPN 3D.
