We brought the average up last week in Week 12. I even had a PERFECT PICK in the Kentucky game.
Last Week: 7-3 (70.0%)
This Week: 0-0 (0.0%)
Overall: 87-31 (74.1%)
Now we’re to the week of the season where the rest of the nation is mad there isn’t a full slate of exciting SEC games to watch, all while failing to realize that this is what their schedule looks like every week. We ignore it all year. You can for one weekend.
11/22
Samford at Texas A&M – The Aggies have locked up their coach until he loses nine games in a few years. Samford fired their coach. It won’t be a fun day for them.
Texas A&M 42, Samford 7
Missouri at Oklahoma – Oh wow, it’s an SEC game that used to be a Big 12 game. Missouri is worried Drinkwitz is going to leave. Oklahoma got a boost last week and is back at home. They’ll win convincingly.
Oklahoma 31, Missouri 14
Charlotte at Georgia – Why bother?
Georgia 51, Charlotte 3
Eastern Illinois at Alabama – Who cares?
Alabama 49, Eastern Illinois 0
Arkansas at Texas – The Razorbacks have lost lost eight in a row. Five of those losses have been by three or less points. They aren’t terrible. They just can’t win. Texas isn’t great, either, but they’ll win.
Texas 34, Arkansas 31
Kentucky at Vanderbilt – Remember when this used to the Bottom Feeder Bowl? Since beating Auburn, Kentucky has destroyed Florida and destroyed Tennessee Tech. Can they destroy Marshall Henderson 2.0? Probably not.
Vanderbilt 28, Kentucky 13
Coastal Carolina at South Carolina – This would typically be a good baseball game. Instead we get a mediocre even by their standards Coastal against a bad even by their standards South Carolina. The Gamecocks have to have given up after last week’s flop. They’ll win, but it will be ugly and close.
South Carolina 23, Coastal Carolina 20
Tennessee at Florida – Wow. This used to be one of the biggest games in the SEC East. Florida is done and I seriously have not seen or thought about Tennessee in months. Are they even playing anymore? Well, they’ll play this weekend and they’ll win as Florida fans stare at a picture of Lane Kiffin.
Tennessee 34, Florida 10
Western Kentucky at LSU – It seems like half the SEC needs a coach or has given up on the season. LSU beat Arkansas by one point at home last week. That could be considered a loss. But they’ll win this one semi-easily as LSU fans stare at a picture of Lane Kiffin.
LSU 31, Western Kentucky 13
Mercer at Auburn– Check back later for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: the Deuce is loose, but don’t get used to it.
Other Games of Note
USC at Oregon – The Ducks may have played the softest schedule in the history of college football, even softer than Ohio State’s, so I guess that’s why they joined the Big Ten. This should be a Pac-12 game and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Oregon 31, USC 21
Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech – I can’t believe that I have to pretend games like this are even remotely important each week. What are we doing? If Georgia Tech wins big, Coach Key is staying. If they lose, his foot is out the door. They’ll win.
Georgia Tech 27, Pittsburgh 17
Now that you know who will win, head on over to the 2025 War Blogle Pick ’em and get your picks in. There will be weekly prizes and an overall winner at the end of the season. It’s easy. Do it.
