Well, we’ve had better weeks than Week 10. I’m blaming NIL and the transfer portal.
Last Week: 5-4 (55.6%)
This Week: 3-5 (37.5%)
Overall: 83-39 (68.0%)
There are a few intriguing matchups this week. Most importantly, Auburn can’t lose.
11/9
Florida at Texas – It’s weird. Florida has looked *slightly* better than it looked like they would. They even put out a statement that they are keeping their coach. Texas has looked good against middle of the road teams and was destroyed by the only really good team they’ve played. Florida is a middle of the road team.
Texas 34, Florida 17
Texas 49, Florida 17 – SUCCESS!
Georgia at Ole Miss – The Bulldogs couldn’t beat a bad Alabama team, but they’ve beaten other decent teams handily. Ole Miss isn’t good against a team with a pulse. Georgia has a pulse.
Georgia 38, Ole Miss 20
Ole Miss 28, Georgia 10 – FAILURE
South Carolina at Vanderbilt – We think South Carolina is legit because they finally broke an overhyped Texas A&M. Vandy did nothing against Auburn, but Auburn did less. Can they both lose?
Vanderbilt 21, South Carolina 17
South Carolina 28, Vanderbilt 7 – FAILURE
Mississippi State at Tennessee – It took UMass for Mississippi State to finally get another win. Tennessee seems very post-Fulmer Tennessee right now. They’re better than the Maroons, though.
Tennessee 42, Mississippi State 17
Tennessee 33, Mississippi State 14 – SUCCESS!
Alabama at LSU – The once “SUPER BOWL TO END ALL WORLD HUNGER” has turned into the “12 team playoff elimination game.” Wow, such a fall from grace. LSU isn’t that good, but neither is Alabama and surely Death Valley will play some part.
LSU 24, Alabama 21
Alabama 42, LSU 13 – FAILURE
Oklahoma at Missouri – I kinda thought that adding Oklahoma to the conference would add some excitement. I honestly yawned when I read this matchup.
Missouri 31, Oklahoma 21
Missouri 30, Oklahoma 23 – SUCCESS!
Other Games of Note
Michigan at Indiana – Once again, the national slate is hurting. Indiana is 9-0 and getting uber-praise because they’ve never been 9-0. However, literally every “big win” on their schedule has 4+ losses. Remember, people think Indiana is better than multiple SEC teams because they have 9 wins over 4+ loss teams. Even Michigan has 4 losses. Surely they can end this stupidity?
Michigan 27, Indiana 21
Indiana 20, Michigan 15 – FAILURE
Colorado at Texas Tech – The Buffaloes have 2 losses and a bunch of mediocre wins. Texas Tech knocked off undefeated Iowa State last week. They’ll beat Deion this week.
Texas Tech 23, Colorado 17
Colorado 41, Texas Tech 27 – FAILURE
