The Emporium’s Outside the SEC Predictions – Week 10

It’s November. It’s the final month of the season and that means it’s the final push for teams to make the playoff. There are a few big games this week including a massive game in the BIG 10. Let’s take a look at five games you need to watch for.

No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes @ No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions | Saturday 11:00 a.m. CT on FOX

This game has always been a big one on the college football calendar. Ohio State looks to make a statement in enemy territory against undefeated Penn State. After a loss to Oregon in week eight, the Buckeyes cannot afford to lose another game. The Buckeyes held off a late rally from Nebraska to win 21-17 at home. Penn State also won last week in Madison against Wisconsin. Historically, Ohio State has had the edge, but I think the Nittany Lions get the win in a close one. Penn State 27 | Ohio State 21

Air Force Falcons @ No. 21 Army Black Knights | Saturday 11:00 a.m. CT on CBS

We’re continuing to follow the Army Black Knights as they look to complete an undefeated season for the first time since 1946. The Black Knights still have several conference games and a trip to Notre Dame ahead, but this game against Air Force always means something. The Black Knights have one of the best defenses in the nation and back it up with an offense that’s difficult to contain. I think Army wins this one big at home against a struggling Air Force team. Army 31 | Air Force 7

No. 1 Oregon Ducks @ Michigan Wolverines | Saturday 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS

Oregon faces one of its toughest test when they enter the Big House to face Michigan. Oregon has looked like the number one team as of late, with dominating wins over Purdue and Illinois, and a statement win over Ohio State. The Ducks are a two-touchdown favorite over a Michigan team that has struggled at times. I think this game will be closer than people expect, but Oregon will survive. Oregon 28 | Michigan 20

Louisville Cardinals @ No.10 Clemson Tigers | Saturday 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN

A big game in the ACC this weekend as the Louisville Cardinal travel to Death Valley to face Clemson. This game looks like it could be a high scoring one as Louisville brings a high powered offense to town. Clemson has really improved over the this season and now looks like a playoff contender. I think this game will feature lots of offense but I think Louisville comes away with a major upset. Louisville 41 | Clemson 35

No. 18 Pittsburgh @ No. 20 SMU Mustangs | Saturday 7:00 p.m. CT on ACC Network

Another big game in the ACC features undefeated Pittsburgh against the high-powered offense of SMU. Both teams are undefeated in conference play, looking to keep pace with Miami and Clemson. Pittsburgh’s defense will face their biggest test this season against an SMU offense that ranks 5th in the SEC and 25th overall. It will be a tight game, but I think SMU prevails in this one. SMU 34 | Pittsburgh 27
