Ranking the SEC After Week 13

Rivalry week went as most expected. Some games were closer than expected. Some were indicative that some rivalries should no longer be saved for rivalry week.

poll4

1. Georgia (12-0)

Georgia Tech shouldn’t be their last game of the season.

(Last week: #1, beat Georgia Tech 45-0)

2. Alabama (11-1)

“WE JUST BEAT YOUR HURT BACKUP QUARTERBACK BY 2 IN 4OT!”

(Last week: #2, beat Auburn 24-22)

3. Ole Miss (10-2)

This is the first time Ole Miss has finished with a regular season with 10 wins. Meh.

(Last week: #3, beat Mississippi State 31-21)

4. Texas A&M (8-4)

Jimbo Fisher has four losses and 80 billion dollars. Wasn’t Kevin Sumlin cheaper?

(Last week: #4, lost at LSU 27-24)

5. Arkansas (8-4)

Sorta tired of the whole “wow what a great job by Pittman to resurrect this program” business.
A. they weren’t THAT bad.
B. Auburn (6 losses), Mississippi State (5 losses), and Texas A&M (4 losses) are their best wins.

(Last week: #5, beat Missouri 34-17)

6. Mississippi State (7-5)

They can’t play in the rain. They can’t play anytime really, but they couldn’t miss a thing in Auburn of course.

(Last week: #6, lost to Ole Miss 31-21)

7. Auburn (6-6)

They should be higher than this after taking the #2 team to 4OT, but I’m trying to at least appear respectable. But say something. I dare you.

(Last week: #7, lost to Alabama 24-22)

8. Kentucky (9-3)

Any SEC East team with 9 wins and a rivalry game outside the SEC is immediately docked 2-3 wins.

(Last week: #8, beat Louisville 52-21)

9. Tennessee (7-5)

You gave up 21 points to Vandy? Hmmm… maybe you won’t start next season in the Top 15.

(Last week: #9, beat Vanderbilt 45-21)

10. LSU (6-6)

Has LSU gotten better since they fired Coach O?

(Last week: #12, beat Texas A&M 27-24)

11. Missouri (6-6)

Missouri is 6-6 and 6-6 is Missouri.

(Last week: #10, lost at Arkansas 34-17)

12. South Carolina (6-6)

Of course you lay an egg this week…

(Last week: #11, lost to Clemson 30-0)

13. Florida (6-6)

I knew Mullen was holding you back.

(Last week #13, beat Florida State 24-21)

14. Vanderbilt (2-10)

Well, there’s always basketball season… oops, nevermind.

(Last week: #14, lost at Tennessee 45-21)
